We cannot confirm about the strong prediction that the 2017 Honda Ridgeline will share the same engine as Acura MDX or Honda Pilot. The possible engine to use is Earth Dreams direct inject V6 engine 3.5 liter in order to be paired with 6-speed automatic or the new 9-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. The nine-speed auto transmission is assumed to have more durability for truck-like loads. What the company needs to do to give best solution is about dealing with the poor fuel economy.

It is expected that the development could be shown at 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show or 2016 Detroit Auto Show. With those few changes, we think that 2017 Honda Ridgeline will come out with higher price tag compared to the old version.
