It was at 2015 New York Auto Show we saw the unveiled design for the first time regarding to the upcoming 2017 VW Golf SportWagen Alltrack. Its design basically is similar as the European model that was revealed earlier at 2014 Paris Motor Show. The difference is the name because American model has SportWagon name.

2017 Golf SportWagen Alltrack is basically introduced in order to cover the demand about the compact station wagon on its market and some refreshments are added to offer better design and performance compared to the previous model. Buyers could see the wide wheel arches and the bigger ground clearance in this new version. It is also built under the support of all-wheel drive configuration with the Haldex system. Surely it is coming out as the smaller version of Tiguan while the exterior has some redesigned details to offer.

It has redesigned front and rear bumpers and the alloy wheels are in size of 17 inches. The cabin is built with leather steering wheel and the gear-shift lever. There is a visible badge of Alltrack on many places inside. You even could get some standard features such as auto climate control, Composition Touch infotainment system, LED reading lights, cruise control and also Driver Alert system in 2017 VW Golf SportWagen Alltrack.

2017 VW Golf SportWagen Alltrack as far as we know there is no announcement yet given by the official related to the engine options for American market. It is only mentioned that the European version will go with four engine options to offer. The first will be the four-cylinder petrol engine and 1.8 liter with the capability to produce the output for around 173 horsepower and 207 lb-ft of torque while the second engine is four-cylinder 1.6 liter diesel to crank out the output about 108 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. The last two engines will be four-cylinder diesel 2.0 liter with the output to offer about 148 horsepower with 251 lb-ft of torque and 181 horsepower with 280 lb-ft of torque.

For the two most powerful engines, the company would like to pair it with six-speed dual-clutch transmission and the other two has six-speed manual transmission. 2017 VW Golf SportWagen Alltrack for its fuel consumption details are not been revealed yet by the official.

2017 VW Golf SportWagen Alltrack Release Date and Price

The expected release date is around 2016 with the price details that have not been announced yet. We think that the price will be between the standard Golf model and Golf GTI version that should be about $22,200 for the base 2017 VW Golf SportWagen Alltrack.
